Information about the program and registration can be found here:
The certificate program "Gender & Diversity in Science & Technology Studies" combines teaching modules from Master's programs in science and technology studies as well as the Humanities and Educational Sciences in the Berlin University Alliance into a cross-university course offering in the field of science and technology studies that builds on each other.
The new "Gender & Diversity in Science & Technology Studies" program teaches students of all subjects approaches to interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary science and technology research, for example on inequality that is created or reinforced by science and technology, such as discrimination through IT applications or measures to combat climate change.
The course also sheds light on inequality in the scientific community itself and in technical professions. In project-oriented courses and using case studies, students can directly apply the knowledge they have previously acquired in seminars.
The certificate program "Gender & Diversity in Science & Technology Studies" was developed by Prof. Dr. Petra Lucht (TU Berlin/FU Berlin) and Prof. Dr. Martina Erlemann (FU Berlin). It is coordinated by the Office for Teaching and Learning of the Berlin University Alliance.
