Dr. Beatriz Ranea-Triviño is assistant professor at the Department of Applied Sociology, Faculty of Communication, Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. She holds a PhD in Sociology and Anthropology from UCM and an Erasmus Mundus Master’s in Women’s and Gender Studies from University of Hull (UK) and University of Granada (Spain). She has participated in several Gender Studies research projects, including the Horizon 2020 project UniSAFE – Gender-based violence and institutional responses: Building a knowledge base and operational tools to make universities and research organisations safe; she has also been Principal Investigator of the MASPOL study "Equality Policies, Masculinity, Care, and Violence: Analysis of Public Policies Addressed to Men in Spain". Her main research interests are masculinities and social change, gender and power in higher education, and gender-based violence.
