The Margherita von Brentano Center is a central institution of Freie Universität Berlin. The center’s scientific director and full-time staff receive support from the Board of Directors and guidance from the Advisory Board. The Local Gender Equality Officer is Sabina García Peter.

Project teams may be commissioned to carry out temporary duties.

The Research Project Team (comprising the members of the former Board of Directors of the Interdisciplinary Center for Gender Studies, or IZG) is permanent and allocates start-up funding from the IZG’s funds.
