Since 1995, Freie Universität Berlin has awarded the Margherita von Brentano Prize for outstanding achievement in Gender Studies or equality. Since 2017, the Margherita von Brentano Center has been organizing the appliation procedure. At present, the award is granted every two years and has a value of EUR 15.000. Individuals whose work should be associated with Freie Universität can apply for the award themselves or be nominated.
